Fundraising phenom? Not quite. Event maven? Hardly. Somewhere in between? That sounds like me.
I’ve been fundraising via special events and corporate partner programs for years. Looking for qualifications? Here are the ones that I believe matter most. I can no longer keep track of the number of events I’ve produced (hundreds), the amount of sponsorship dollars I’ve raised (millions), or how many gala dresses I’ve left at the dry cleaner (more than I’d like to admit). More recently, and because of my knack for taking good care of donors, I've taken quite a liking to developing stewardship strategies too.
